LUIGI JORDAN, is a Bolivian guitarist, specialised in classical guitar. His repertoire includes some of the most challenging pieces and his extensive experience in electric guitar and jazz music as well as orchestral play have furthered his expertise as a musician.
He received his first training with Piraí Vaca, Marcos Puña and Oscar Peñafiel at the Conservatorio Plurinacional de Música in La Paz, Bolivia, where he graduated from With Honours. He then studied at the Akademie für Tonkunst in Darmstadt, Germany, with Tilman Hoppstock, where he graduated with a Bachelors in Classical Guitar also With Honors.
He now lives in Frankfurt. He is pursuing a master Master of Arts in Instrumental Pedagogy and Classical Guitar at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst with David Kvaratskhelia while continuing performing at numerous events around Germany and Switzerland. Luigi Jordan regularly gives concerts as a soloist and chamber musician.
Musical career
During this time Luigi Jordan has been part of a number of music groups and ensembles such as PYX (with Sofia Petiñat, Mauricio Slacedo and Alex Iturralde) and Cuarteto de Fuego, that are widely recognised across South America. His guitar quartet “Cuarteto de Fuego” with Piraí Vaca, Zoran Vranjican and Sebastian Bloomberg performed with great success in major music centers across South America in their two tours in 2015 and 2016.
Luigi Jordan further appeared as a soloist with conductors such as Ramiro Soriano.
